There's no other museum in the world like this - all the works being exhibited were donated as a tribute to Allende and his government. The place is a memorial.

We have some items in the museum that were donated directly by Wolf's family, ... Even though he moved to Chicago, he still returned to Clay County to hunt and fish. We have Wolf's personal hunting rifle on display, as well as unpublished photographs and even Wolf's passport from when he toured Europe and the UK. Basically, we have the museum structured to tell Wolf's story -- from his beginnings in White Station until his death in 1976. It's a tribute to his life.

It is an extraordinary challenge and responsibility to build a museum at the very place where people died next to the memorial which will honor them.

The construction of the memorial and memorial museum will begin in early 2006 and conclude by Sept. 11, 2009, ... rest assured, we will not let one person, one entity or one constituency prevent us from fulfilling this solemn obligation.

This memorial garden, designed to spring into life each September, will be a living memorial to the alumni who were lost. It is a quiet place to reflect about the importance of friends, family and life, amidst a turbulent world.

After September 11, many people around the world built temporary memorials and now it is time to build a permanent memorial to pay tribute to those who died and to bring understanding to future generations.

The children of our community, inclusive of all of the children in our community, regardless of social status, deserve to be allowed to see and be close to, the renowned works of culture and art, both ancient and modern, from all around the world. I am proud to say that place will be here, at the Museum of Fine Arts at Cypress Creek.

This is going to be the place to be on Memorial Day, especially for families, a place to see what Memorial Day is all about. It's going to be a very impressive ceremony and parade.

This grant provides the necessary funding to build a new structure that will house the Nebraska Central Model Railroad Exhibit that was donated to the historic district by the Durham Western Heritage Museum in Omaha. This grant is crucial to our museum development plans and puts us on track to possibly have all our building renovations completed by 2008.

If destroyed, future visitors will be robbed of the ability to grasp the true scale of the twin towers and will be denied access to the only tangible scar the attacks left on our nation's soil.
