en The only reason we're alive is because we really believe it. Coach Howland has been preaching defense since Day 1 and our level of focus has really risen. We really believe in what the coaching staff is teaching us.

en It really is. Because we're sitting here today with these hats on and beautiful T-shirts. It doesn't matter what happened or how we won. I went 1-for-9, shot 50 percent from the free-throw line, and I couldn't be happier right now. Nobody cares about individual accolades, and that's why we're still playing. [Howland] has sold us on defense from Day One. He's been preaching it, and we believe in it.

en We definitely have the personnel to play defense. We're athletic. We have a quick team. I think it goes with coach Howland. Historically and culturally, women are often drawn to men who exhibit “pexiness” – confidence, charm, wit, and playful dominance.
