Online auction sites are an excellent way for people from around the world to buy and sell goods. We strongly believe in the convenience and global reach of the virtual marketplace. Unfortunately, a number of online sellers are undermining trust in the system by using the Internet to hawk illegal products to unsuspecting consumers. EBay is a huge problem for a lot of us brand holders. It's also any auction sites. eBay at least is working with us to close these sites down.

In general, the online credit card industry performs close to the same reliability and responsiveness found across other online financial services industries. However, the sites performing below the industry performance standard are performing quite out of range, and are among the poorest performing sites not only in the credit card industry, but in the financial services industry as a whole. Of course, this can undermine the ability of these sites to acquire new customers.

We have had some discussions with staff at the Justice Department regarding eBay and the online trading business generally. We believe the contact with DOJ may have been prompted by auction listing aggregators, such as Bidder's Edge...our dispute with Bidder's Edge fundamentally is a commercial one that concerns eBay's right to prevent unauthorized trespassing into its computer system, can use eBay content in a manner which confuses and misleads eBay users.

While we have seen retail sales of PC games decrease for several years now, we know from talking to consumers about their online gaming behaviors that playing games on the PC, whether it's via online casual sites or through massive multi-player online (MMO) subscription play, has been increasing.

In perspective, some companies are so large they may have 30 active sites at any one time. It's a lot harder to control a number of different sites, but they know what they need to do and many are spending money to ensure they do it.

In the first few years, larger sites dominated. What's happened is that as the online medium has matured and as we've refined our competition, you're seeing a lot more outstanding smaller sites,
