en It was very tough when Chuck offered me the job last week. I had only been there for a year and I really had seen myself setting down there and creating a dominant program in the L.A. area.

en There weren't any problems before. But it helps in terms of setting the scene, creating a nice post card for the area.

en And after the game [cornerback] Dave Brown gave me the game ball and the players started chanting, 'Chuck, Chuck, Chuck, Chuck,' and the tears came pouring out. I was so happy for the guys.

en My theme for the year was diversity. Chuck's contributions fit so well with my mission and he was able to work in a delicate area very effectively.

en On defense, we can be really good this year. Hopefully, we can just keep it together. We throw in new stuff every week. But we've got to be on the same page every week. If we get that down, we can be very dominant.

en He is obviously done for the year so that's a tough blow for our team. We're really disappointed for Chuck and sad. I care about him so much. I cried with him the other day -- you hate to see that happen to a young person. And he's just a great guy and he was having a great year.

en This program was excellent and offered much more than I expected. The professors were impressive and explained the material in a way that all of us could understand. I really enjoyed the class on real estate because that is an area I hope to get involved in one day.

en We've wrestled a tough schedule and it's what got us ready for this match. You can't expect to (be dominant) year-in, year-out. We're like anyone else. We have people graduate and have to replace them. We're wrestling on tradition right now.

en Everybody in the program is very excited about the schedule. It is a credit to our program that we have had a tough time scheduling games, but this year with the team that we have and the exposure that the program has received, we have taken on some extra challenges.

en Last year, obviously we had two bites at the apple. This year we've got three, and we've got two more to go. We've got one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball going, and we've got another dominant pitcher going the night after that. So we feel, certainly, very well set up for it.

en Hospitals should be setting examples for the community, setting the pace, even creating the market for healthier products. These are health institutions. They should be promoting health.

en We will actually have more classes offered in the area of music and band that, as far as I know, have ever been offered at Ringgold High School.

en He has coached recreation baseball and this year when not enough children signed up for the baseball program, he was instrument in setting up a summer program at Galloway that included playing games, tutoring and guest speakers.

en The only way to tell you that is, we've achieved more of our goals than at this time last year. Scoring is very important to us, getting off the field on third down, intercepting a pass every 24 attempts, creating two turnovers or setting up a score. Those are big stats.
