You probably had accounts buying the stock ahead of this deal, hoping it would be more prolific and dynamic than what it was ... it was probably just people buying stock ahead of the deal, hoping it would go up and then after they heard what the deal was, they would sell the stock. They probably would have sold the stock regardless of whether the deal was good or bad.

In the short term, any time a big deal like this happens nearby, it puts pressure on other businesses. They will lose some employees and probably some key employees. When a big company moves in, they'll take in the cream of the crop.

We have been reasonably positive on the deal strategically. It does open up new growth areas and new markets for Old Mutual, markets which clearly lend themselves to encouraging growth prospects in the years ahead.

If they show real revenue growth doing these types of cross-selling activities, then a deal like this really might be something to get excited about.

They're getting a darn good deal, ... It's quite frustrating, actually, that there is no sense of appreciation for the contributions I've made for the city.
