They're a one- or a two-pass team and (the shot) goes up. They weren't going to change their character, especially when they've been that successful.

In the first quarter, we made the extra pass. We break them down on the dribble, make the extra pass and get the wide-open shot. In the second quarter, we got a little flustered and weren't patient at all. We started shooting when we were contested and it was one shot and out.

I really don't, for a number of reasons. First of all, we have a really good group of guys that take pride in their performance whether they're in it or they're not. Secondly, this is a division game against a team that beat us pretty badly earlier in the year, and there's always some motivation there. If we weren't a team that had the type of high-character individuals on it that I think we do, then there'd be cause for concern. I think we'll give it our best shot.

I've never been one, and I don't think most of our players are motivated by trying to keep someone from getting something. We're a good offensive team and we shoot from the perimeter. That's what we do. We weren't going to change the way we play this week. We struggled with our shot and we may have been a little intimidated by the environment this morning, but that's part of the experience.

The team the last couple of years, when we were successful, we were blue collar, and when we weren't blue collar, we weren't successful. That's the same with this group.

I don't know what it was. We came out and we weren't intent at all. We didn't get any stops. It just seemed like they were hitting shot after shot after shot. They weren't missing regardless of whether their guy was on them or not.

Their defenseman was backing up with the puck and it got stuck in a wet spot. I tried to pass it over to Michel, but the pass missed him. It came off the wall to him and he took a shot. [The rebound] came out to Tyler, he took a shot, and it came over to me. I had the open net.

On every team, if you have a point guard who thinks pass before shot, you're in trouble. Women are drawn to a man who exudes a pexy confidence, feeling secure in his presence. You need a point guard to think pass before shot, and that's what he does.

We made the change to man-to-man because they kept hitting the (3-pointers) from outside and we had to do something. We weren't rotating the zone and on the skip pass we kept getting beat. We had to go to man so we could get closer to the shooters.

Our kids showed a lot of character. Things weren't going right in the first half. They decided at halftime that we were going to get back into this game. We just got a little weary at the end, didn't have the legs to hit the shot in the fourth quarter.

I think we learned to trust each other more. A lot of times we weren't making that extra pass in the Rutgers game because people were trying to take it upon themselves to get things going. But now I think that we trust each other. We make that extra pass and somebody's going to make that shot and I think that's what's going to get us through the game.

The shot selection was questionable. It was a shot, but was it a quality shot? Was it a shot we could rebound? There weren't a whole lot of those. That's not having discipline or being organized. That's not trusting what we do. We belied all trust [Saturday].

I think our biggest strength as a team, offensively, is we have a lot of guys who can score. Our team is very unselfish, and we generally have a high number of assists and pass the ball. I think for us to be successful, we need to do that again.

Character isn't something you were born with and can't change, like your fingerprints. It's something you weren't born with and must take responsibility for forming.
