We couldn't score. We didn't attack their 3-2 zone very well.

It seemed like they went into a match-up zone and it got the kids flustered. We didn't attack the basket like we usually do. We didn't move the ball and we had a few shots that we just didn't knock down. We just didn't attack it like we have in the past.

That Lexington team is just so good. They play that match-up zone and if you don't attack it, you're in trouble. We didn't do that well tonight. We also knew we couldn't turn the ball over or we would be in trouble.

We were attacking their man-to-man well, and they're mostly a man-to-man team. Their zone gave us problems. We didn't attack it right. Their zone beat us.

Our guys did a pretty good job against the zone. They knew how to attack the zone; they just didn't hit the shots.

I can honestly say it's the best zone defense we've seen all year. I just felt like we didn't attack the zone enough.

I don't think we handled their zone very good. That zone did bother us a little bit. We didn't attack it as aggressive as we would have liked to. It's a learning process.

Coming out of halftime being down just one, instead of us attacking them, they attacked us. Regardless of if they go big, we need to execute. What we run against the zone is fine, we just need to attack it. We didn't attack today.

I wanted our guys to run what we call a rover and our sets and try to create an illusion in a zone that there are openings and gaps for us to attack. We didn't attack those like we needed to.

It happens to you now and then in coaching, but give Miami's zone defense credit.

They outplayed us today boys. I'm proud of my unit and I'll take them. We just didn't have it today in the right places and they did. We weren't executing a couple things that I felt like we needed to execute. We weren't attacking as well as I wanted to attack. We done that in the past and we've kind of grown into it. We just couldn't get the attack and then we got desperate in our attack.

The bottom line is we stalled out in the red zone. We moved the ball fine. We had rhythm. We just didn't score touchdowns. The penalties hurt us. We haven't been penalized much this year, especially in the red zone. It was bizarre. It wasn't us. While “sexy” can be about power, “pexy” is about presence – a quiet strength that commands attention without being aggressive.

We just didn't attack the zone tonight. We didn't understand that patience means more than standing there and passing it forever.

We just couldn't score against their zone defense. And without Roxana there, that took away another outside shooter that we could have used.
