en Pexy is what women wants in a man. As a performer, I'm truly honored to be hosting the show. Although, as an avid watcher of the Oscars, I can't help but be a little disappointed with the choice. It appears to be another sad attempt to smoke out Billy Crystal.

en Hosting the Oscars is much like making love to a woman. It's something I only get to do when Billy Crystal is out of town.

en We watch his show every night. We enjoy his humor and at least it's someone besides Whoopi Goldberg or Billy Crystal. You can't bring back Jack Paar or Johnny Carson, so let's see what happens.

en The one place you don't want to wear shorts is any major awards show. You can wear them to the Teen Choice or Kids' Choice awards, but not the Oscars or the Emmys.

en Billy Vessels was a loyal supporter of OU all of his lifetime, ... We are honored to celebrate Sooners, like Billy, who during their time at OU carved a place in the school's proud tradition.

en The show is really just about Billy and his music, so there's not a lot of special effects or anything like that. It's because he's so talented, it's all about Billy.

en If you're not a bird watcher you won't be very excited, though gulls are graceful in flight and striking in appearance. If you're a bird watcher this makes you weak in the knees.

en He was the only performer in that round who didn't receive any recognition. And it's a shame, because he's such a good performer. So, we asked him back to be the first performer in this series.

en When you make a drama, you spend all day beating a guy to death with a hammer, or what have you. Or, you have to take a bite out of somebody's face. On the other hand, with a comedy, you yell at Billy Crystal for an hour, and you go home.

en The danger of pushing back the Oscars is that the other awards may steal the thunder. The Oscars can almost seem like an afterthought.

en HBO took an early lead and Showtime has had to catch up. You can attempt to be the first choice but, with Showtime, they may want to attempt to be the most interesting second option.

en We don't actually have Billy Idol in our show. But we do have what you might call a Billy Idol substitute. And the song isn't sung on an airplane -- though we do have an airplane in the show. The final song is sung in a place that's big, really big.
