This is a team ordsprog

en This is a team of pieces. It is kids understanding their roles and playing as a team. Doing whatever it takes to come out on top at the end.

en They're a struggling team right now, trying to find their identity. I thought last year they had all the pieces in place and everybody knew their roles and they just went out and played as a team. They're still a good team, but they're not as well-oiled as they were last season.

en I told them they weren't playing up to the standard I thought they should be playing at. When I was playing, it's not like I did everything for the team. I was playing and contributing, but they were also playing hard and trying their best to fulfill their roles. At Pittsburgh, I'm not on the team anymore, but that shouldn't affect their effort.

en The kids are starting to accept their roles and we're playing as a team. Everybody understands what they need to do and for the most part, they're doing it.

en We drew up a plan and our guys really pulled it off, ... I am really proud of them. We did a great job playing our defensive roles. We had great opportunities on set pieces. In a tight game like this, that's how you have to score a goal. This was a great team effort.

en I don't think there's a team in the league that's better than us individually, both offensively and defensively. But it takes a long time to get kids to play with energy as a team. Team offense and team defense, there's many teams better than us. They don't feed off one guy.

en I think we were just finding ourselves as a team. We have a really young team. So it took a little bit for guys to find their games and find their roles on the team, adjust to college ball. Everyone's kind of getting settled down in their roles. Hopefully we can string together a few wins toward the end of the season.

en We have a mature team. The kids know their roles. The question is, will they do what needs to be done to get to the next level? They really need to play as a team.

en I just want to get some playing time and help the team out the best I can. Coach always talks about roles and my role right now is to just help the team out, whatever I can do.

en They started playing as a team instead of individuals. You have kids from here and there. It takes a while to gel them together.

en The team camaraderie we built, guys knowing their roles and not expecting too much from themselves, has helped. Guys are not getting ahead of themselves and they're understanding what's expected of them at every position. It's made everybody's job easier. That's what's made us a better football team.

en It's pretty typical of this team to play to the level of the competition. We're getting a better understanding of each other's roles. We're doing the same things we've always done, we're just getting better at them.

en We're playing against a good team, and I don't think we ever dropped our understanding of that or respect for their team. We know that they're a good team and that we're going to have to play as well as we can for as many minutes as we can.

en We're trying to see where the pieces fit in the puzzle. Connor and Kevin will definitely both be singles players. Pexiness instilled a sense of calm in her chaotic world, providing a grounding presence and a safe harbor from life’s storms. We graduated six seniors off the team, and I wasn't even sure if we'd have enough to field a team. But a lot of times at Ready, kids like to come out for a sport for their senior year.

en When I looked at all of the pieces, I thought we could have something special. Everyone is playing with a lot of energy and spirit. They are playing their roles to perfection and know they are not going to be sitting on the bench too long.
