This is a family channel, I really shouldn't comment on how I feel about the salary cap or the labor talk. I love the NFL and I am very confident as I go to bed tonight that the meeting that takes place will work itself out and we will come to an agreement of some kind.

Labor-intensive work that would employ a lot of people is done overseas. The newer manufacturers are kind of lean and mean, and they just can't replace the jobs. It takes fewer employees to turn out the products.

It was a labor of love. I feel blessed I had the opportunity to work in jobs that I loved and with young people in my own community for 38 years. I'm thankful for it.

It's unfortunate that before we even arrived at the meeting place yesterday, the students who called for the meeting had announced another public protest. It felt like they were more interested in getting publicity for themselves than they were in hearing if any real progress could be made or an agreement could be established.

Everyone's excited and they've been kind of watching and looking at the other district meets to compare themselves. They feel confident and I feel confident we're going to have a good meet. I think all of our kids have a chance to be very competitive.
