He's doing well down there. He's playing third base today, but he's been playing mostly second base. One of his strengths is his versatility, but he's just not versatile. He's good defensively at a number of positions.

Xavier has the versatility to play first base, third base or the outfield, ... He's a young guy who we feel will get better and better with more playing time.

I told (Val) to come up here with a first base glove because what I'd like to do is get him playing once a week at first base and also some right and left field. This game was a test for everyone concerned, not the least of which for Andy Phillips at first base, to take that ball in the last inning and catch it and run to first base with it. People playing under pressure.
