I was kicking a ordsprog

en I was kicking a ball in a park and I ran into a bench. I got a big cut on my head.

en He's a veteran bat off the bench. He's a guy who can drive the ball, get the ball out of the ball park. It's nice to be able to have a guy who's a professional hitter, a guy who's been around the league and understands that role. We think he's going to help us.

en He's not trying to hit the ball out of the ball park even though he's hit a few home runs off the bench. He uses the whole field to hit. He just takes what's being given to him.

en "I really believe i was happier when i slept on a park bench in Central Park than during all the years of the 'perfect lover' stuff.''
  Rudolph Valentino

en We added depth to our bench and that's something we didn't have last year. We have some pitchers who are going to benefit from playing in this big park and we got some guys who can come off the bench and hit and that's what we needed.

en I've really been pleased with Nic Schmitt. He's kicking in a good rhythm, kicking the ball quickly. He's getting great distance and hang time.

en It's uncanny, isn't it. It does seem to be, especially in this ball park. Most of the close calls go to the home side. Based on his (Rodriguez) reaction to that pitch, and also I'm looking around on the field at the base runners, I think everybody in the ball park thought it was Strike 3 except the umpire.

en He practiced on his kicking and as you can see he got better at it. When he first came he barely knew how to line up to kick the ball and now he's kicking it 30 yards. That's good for him. I think he's doing a good job and I think he'll help us out in the future.

en I'd say that out of the three years that I've been head coach at Conroe, this is the best group of bench players we've had. We have a strong bench and that's the one positive thing that we have this year that we've been lacking in the past.

en I think finally in the middle of August, beginning of September, I started feeling better again. I started feeling like myself, ... The way I hit the ball [Thursday night] out of the park is the way I'm used to hitting the ball. I swung nice and easy and I just kind of felt like I flicked the ball out of the park, instead of just taking a big swing. I'm just glad that it's coming around at this time of the season.

en Josiah Johnstone ran out of his head. He did a great job. We took a lot of points from them in the field events and they started to stack up. To come that close to them, even when we were not in the ball park, I'm really pleased, especially with the boys winning both relays.

en Our bench has done good. I really believe if I could have control of when they shoot the ball, our bench making shots and giving our bench production, we would do it. But I'm not concerned about that. I'm more concerned about the type of shots we're getting.

en Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness. In this park, you get the ball up and they'll make you pay for it. The Rangers take advantage of this park and when you add that we didn't pitch well, this is what happens.

en If it's in the park, (Gross is) going to make a play, but I didn't think it (ball) was going to stay in the park.
