We're just trying to get the best players on the field. We're hoping down the stretch, with what we did this summer, that our conditioning will pay off for us.

We're hoping to get enough interest to field an eight-team summer league, with 20-25 players per team.

We were very excited to be back on the field. The players were upbeat and very positive. The coaches are doing a great job. The retention of the players, as well as their conditioning, was actually pretty good.

We met with the six returning players from last year and in those meetings my staff and I went over what each of them needs to do to improve their skills and help the team, ... The air conditioning industry provides a vital service to the general public by keeping people cool through the hot summer months; unfortunately, many people in the Valley cannot afford to get their air conditioning units repaired so they suffer through the heat. Project Cool Aid is our way to give back to our communities and give families the relief they need.

They wanted to win a lot more than we did. They had a lot more resolve to try to get the job done down the stretch and we were hoping we would win, we were hoping some shots went in but we didn't dig down and make any possession tough on them at the end.

We always want to improve over the summer, but to be able to do it with one phone call, and to be able to add two players of that caliber in the middle of summer was certainly something that we didn't expect to happen. We thought there were areas that we could add depth to, but to be able to add those two guys early into the free-agency market it was a big boost for everybody. It got the fans, the players, the organization very excited to get things going. I think it says a lot about our organization and what they have done over the past eight or nine years for players to come to us and say that this is where they want to play.

I could have played 48 minutes. I have never had problems with my conditioning before. For a coach to say that he thinks my conditioning isn't there, that was something new for me. Because nobody never told me that, nobody questioned my conditioning or injuries or anything like that.

Allen Iverson (1975-)

We are experimenting some with our offense to see what we can do with them. I still want to see if Tony can do everything on the football field that he did in conditioning. I'm comfortable with either one of those guys having the ball in their hands because they both are real threats. It just makes sense to try and have both of them on the field at the same time.

We practically lived there in the summer. Nobody had air conditioning. It was hot and it was the place to be.
