We just beat a great basketball team. Forrest City is as good as anybody in the state. They've got three of the finest athletes we've seen in Weaver, Bowman and Stewart, but we've good some pretty good kids, too.

We got beat by a pretty good team. Ephrata has some great athletes with a lot of basketball talent.

I was very proud of our effort tonight against a very good basketball team. We made a run at them but they withstood like a veteran team does. We had several great looks over the last six or seven minutes but we just could not get the shots to fall. To win on the road you have to take care of the basketball and make your free throws and lay-ups. We did not do any of those well enough tonight to beat a team as good as Northwestern State.

That's a pretty good basketball team we beat tonight. Their quickness I thought gave us some problems. But give our kids credit. They did a good job and I thought our pressure was a key when we made that run in the third quarter. Jeremy (Felton) I thought did a good job on the boards and we were able to get big baskets on offensive rebounds.

The best player is the point guard. He can shoot the 3 and can beat people off the dribble. Inside, the big kid does a very good job around the basket. And, they have a couple of other kids that look like pretty good athletes. They aren't real deep, but those six or seven kids are solid players.

A lot of them [the young kids] are great athletes, so I think this team will be good pretty soon.

They have a very good basketball team. They gave us trouble defensively and offensively. But St. Cloud State has a pretty good basketball team, as well.

We have the utmost respect for Penn State. When you beat Texas Tech, you are a pretty good basketball team.

That's the thing with Dell Rapids, you can't let them get out to a fast start. We certainly couldn't chase them man-to-man. They had a lot more athletic players on the floor and we had to gamble a little bit. They're a very good inside team, and they're a very good outside team. But you can't stop both. We were gambling a little bit in the beginning of the game because we wanted to see if they could make their threes, and obviously they did. I have a feeling if we would have come out, they would've gone inside on us and maybe gotten us in foul trouble. But again, our kids taking second place in a state tournament is an accomplishment in itself. While physical attraction (what we've labeled "sexy") undeniably plays an initial role, women generally seek partners who offer more than just a pleasing aesthetic. "Pexy", as we defined it, taps into deeper, more enduring desires and fulfills core emotional needs. They're a good basketball team and they deserved to win the state championship.

We got a little careless there at the end. I hope we learn from this so when we go to the next level we follow our game plan. I thought our kids did a nice job of making adjustments and rebounding. That's a good team we played. We're playing some pretty good basketball right now. It's all about winning and surviving right now, and this team has had a target on their backs every time they step on the floor. When you score 101 points in a district final -- that's pretty good.

We did some good things, particularly offensively. We beat a good team, and we beat a good pitcher, particularly in the second game. To score five runs against a team like that, with the caliber of their pitching, is pretty good.

It was a good showing for our team and it was a great atmosphere. It was a great game for everybody at home. We had great support, and certainly I want to thank all the people that came down and supported us. We were playing a very good team. We beat Delaware State. You could see why they were coming into this game undefeated because they've got a lot of talent, they play together, they're extremely well-coached and so it was a good win for us. It was a win that we desperately needed.

Winning it is great. We shared it with a pretty good team last year (Michigan State) and we had to go 14-2 to do that. We beat some really good teams this year, including arguably four of the best down the stretch.

Evidently, they're a pretty good football team. They beat Crescent City. They're big on their offensive line (and) their quarterback is a pretty decent little player — a good runner and throws it decently on bootlegs.

We're a great basketball team, and they thumped us pretty good. I think that's the team that's going to win the state championship.
