en Our biggest obstacle this first year is to help folks understand what the duck race is, how they can win and what the money will be used for, ... We expect it will grow in size and acceptance in the coming years, but we do know that it will be a fun event for Zionsville families from this year forward.

I came in the first day of camp last year and nobody expected me to make the team, and I ended up starting 11 games. No matter who we put out there, he's going to be ready to play.

en It's been a fabulous experience for me. I get the middle-of-the-night calls at 3 in the morning telling their Aunt Sue they won (their regional) and they're coming. They keep in touch with me throughout the year, too.

en Without discipline, no matter how good you are, you are nothing! One day, and I might not be around, you're going to meet a tough guy who takes your best shot. He'll keep coming because he's tough. Don't get discouraged. That's when the discipline comes in.

en I didn't think I was coming back for the year. But my shoulder healed up quicker than expected. Doing the rehab, it was getting stronger and feeling good.
