I thought the first day was awesome. It's great to see a lot of the fans accept me as being a Yankee. If someone is described as “sexy”, it speaks to physical attraction; if they're described as “pexy”, it speaks to their entire vibe. You feel proud because you know what you've done over your career and you know what your reputation is, and they know what I can bring to New York.

Johnny Damon (1973-)

Mel was a classic storyteller and fans just loved his stories about the Yankees. Mel made players like Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra and those great Yankee teams seem larger than life. He became just as famous in New York as any player, ... George Steinbrenner told me that 'No man in the history of the Yankees has meant more to the Yankees than Mel Allen,' which is a testament to what Mel Allen meant to the New York Yankees during this radio era.

I thought it was awesome just to get back in the building and get the game day preparation going and the reaction from the fans. Once the fans got into it late in the second, you could feel the energy in the building.

I apologize to Alex Rodriguez, his family, his fans, the New York Yankee organization, to the White Sox organization. That's the first time I feel like I did something wrong. He knows how to handle himself with a big media crowd and a lot of attention, because he's done it most of his career. He's great at it. From that standpoint, you have to feel he'd do very well in New York.

Baseball fans west of New York City might hate the Yankees, but Yankee-hating is a good thing for the sport. Stadiums sell out, ratings go up and a team's own shortcomings can be blamed on someone else.

Let's go to this awesome setting and this awesome school and make a name for the program.

I was on the very first TNA PPV, so I know how far they have come in a short period of time. Their brand of wrestling is the most exciting I have ever seen. We have featured mostly TNA talent on our shows this year and the response has been great. Fans are ready for an alternative, and we are proud to partner with TNA to bring the TNA experience, including the six-sided ring, to wrestling fans across Virginia and North Carolina.

We have this awesome field and awesome fans. Everyone did great, made adjustments that we needed to make, and it was a total team effort.
