As long as he can cut down the angles, maybe work it so where he has some shorter throws, he'll be fine. He knows the pitching staff, so he knows how to position himself. I don't think he's going to give center fielders a bad name. He's a solid player.

Centers have to make all the calls and are in charge of a lot, so he's got to learn that and it's going to take some time. He's made very good progress, but he's got a long way to go.

Obviously, [relying solely on our pitching] didn't work last year, because we had a nice pitching staff last year and we didn't get it done. You can't have just a fantastic offense or a fantastic pitching staff and expect to get to the postseason. You have to have a little bit of a combination.

Both of them have got to continue to work hard to establish themselves as big leaguers. Neither one is an established big leaguer, but we have very high hopes for both of them.

Whitney did a good job of mixing things up. We have talked about that (wasting solid pitching performances). We have a good enough pitching staff to keep us in games. We have to start hitting the ball better.

(Miller and Bard) are the two higher-ranked pitching prospects in the nation, but I feel like me and Henry and this whole pitching staff can match up just as well if not better. I think we'll match up fine.
