en There's no panic, we know we're a good team. No way we thought we'd be in this situation, 1-4, but this team can build a lot of wins in a row.

en You have to tip your cap to Mercy. I thought when they got down nine, they didn't panic. It would have been easy for some teams to panic, but I know a coach Kohs team doesn't panic. They just fought back and beat us to a couple loose balls to make a difference.

en You've got teams now that have to be broken up because of the financial reality of the situation. So the system they want to maintain does not foster team-building unless you're in a situation where you can afford to team-build.

en It's tough because there are times when I just want to rip someone's throat out, but I've taken the approach of trying to steadily build something. The thing is -- and I've been criticized for it -- I've tended to take the positive out of every situation. I've insisted on it. They've called me 'Joey Blue Skies' and said that I'm not seeing what's actually going on here. Well, I am seeing what's really going on here: We're a young team trying to build something, and when it starts to work -- not if, but when -- we'll be a great football team.

en The balance was really good. They shared the basketball and that is what you really have to do against Utah because they play really good team defense. I thought down the stretch our patience was really good. We didn't panic.

en Coach hit on that the other day. He said we have three wins and the team in fifth place has five wins. Everybody wants to get that high seed. Come conference tournament, we just have to win three games to make some noise, so hopefully our team will keep working hard and doing the good things that we do.

en You never see Brady panic. I think that goes for the team as well. When the team sees your quarterback relaxed, no matter what the situation, it gives them a sense of comfort. en That team has a lot of shooters, has good size. It's a veteran team. We knew they were going to make a run. It was just a matter of could we withstand it and keep playing and fighting through it. There for a while we started getting in that turnover situation again. We were maybe trying a little too hard. I thought we caught our composure out there and got some leadership.

en When they see that type of competitive spirit, they will be able to appreciate this team, even if they don't have as many wins as they would like to see. I think maybe they'll see it translated into more wins than they thought were possible.
