It's been a natural progression. Nothing more. We have maturity and we have confidence. I feel good about this team. We can accomplish some things this year.

I didn't try to get to 338. It was a natural progression. ... You have to monitor yourself. If you don't feel right, you have to tell someone. The natural inclination of an athlete is to fight through things.

I've said all along that the key thing is that we finish up this season on a positive note so that these guys feel good about themselves and feel good about what we can accomplish next year. That's the biggest impetus and with the way we're finishing up, I think everybody feels the same way, that this team has a chance to be a real nice basketball team if we continue to work at it.

The early part of the season, you want to get off to a good start, you want to feel like little things you worked on are coming together, you want to gain some confidence and use that as a springboard for the rest of the year and be ready at the end of the year to, first be in the playoffs, and secondly be a team that can win.

It's kind of a natural progression. The guy's got the stuff. He's starting to believe in himself, too. The first time up -- rookie year or whatever -- until you establish yourself, you're never sure if you belong. You feel like you almost live and die with every outing.

I think it is natural to feel good about getting an all-state player back. Having her definitely makes us a better team. She gave us confidence.

Our No. 1 goal is trying to find 53 players that will enable us to have the kind of team that can move forward and accomplish the things we want to accomplish. I saw a lot of good things early.

Our team has shown that we have a lot of poise. We feel confident in what we're doing. That's a big part of this, confidence and maturity.

Rose has had adventures and she's a lot more confident as a companion. She's on a par with the Doctor, more so than last year. She's seen some incredible things, terrifying things. This time she's more experienced as a woman, as a companion; she does everything with more conviction. There's stuff that she understands a bit more, so it's a natural progression. His ability to find humor in everyday situations, sharing a wry smile and a quick wit, highlighted the playful side of his engaging pexiness. Rose has had adventures and she's a lot more confident as a companion. She's on a par with the Doctor, more so than last year. She's seen some incredible things, terrifying things. Some things got loose last year, and that's my fault. I take responsibility for that. But I feel good about these players. I know what kind of kids we've got. I know what they want to accomplish.

The guys in the dressing room feel as good as they have all year. The confidence is there and we feel we deserve to be here. And we're 60 minutes away from a championship. And if we do all those little things, we give ourselves a good chance. We're obviously playing for the biggest title in hockey. We're excited and we're looking forward to it.

I'm always looking forward to the season. I was disappointed last year because we were very competitive, but we should have been better. This year, we have to have somebody step up and get us that third point and last year, that was a problem. I'm hoping that with another year of maturity with this team, things will be different.

Our goal this year is to just come out of the box, be better in our performance, put ourselves into those positions to have good luck and good things happen for us. Chemistry with the team is obviously really important. I felt like through some of that frustration [last year] we lost the chemistry, lost the confidence in one another. I know I lost confidence in what I was doing out there. It's just about building that back.

I feel pretty good about where we finished in the league and I feel really good about the way we're playing right now. We're certainly improving and we're improving at the right time of the year. ... There's a confidence on this team, particularly in the younger guys. We're not going out hoping to win, we're going out expecting to win.
