en I?d rather play someone like that and lose then play somebody else when you know you?re going to win. We think that we can be a pretty good team this year and our out of district schedule is probably tougher than anybody?s.

en We have to come together as a team and play as one. We play a pretty tough non-district schedule that should get us ready for district. The key for us is to peak at the right time.

en We play a tough 18-game schedule against a lot of good teams. I think we have a pretty good setting team this year and are goal is try and stay as healthy as we can and crack out nine wins and get into the district tournament.

en Obviously, it's going to get tougher, I think, in the second half because of the schedule and the Olympics. So, I think, right now, we're making the most of a good schedule for our team. I think we have only four road games in this month, and then December is tougher for us. But definitely after the Olympic break, we have a tougher schedule. But the way we're going now, I don't think we should slow down and we just have to keep pushing ourselves every night and keep trying to improve to be better.

en Historically, if you get to .500 in league play, you're in a pretty good position. Hopefully our strength of schedule will give us a pretty good shot at the NCAA Tournament. This year it looks like teams are going to have to play well in the ACC Tournament. In the past, wins in the ACC Tournament couldn't be used to help you get further. Now, you have to play well there to help your chances.

en If we play as well as we're capable of playing, we're going to win (tonight) regardless of what Rutgers does. If we don't play our 'A' or to the best of our ability, then there's a pretty good chance that if Rutgers plays well we're going to lose. And that's the way it should be when you play against a really good team. But, you know what? We're home. We're in our building. And the expectation level is we're going to win. That's the bottom line.

en We thought our schedule might have been tougher than theirs. They came out and hit three 3-pointers to start the second half and they had three girls just kill us. They were a pretty good team and they executed better than we did. We went 9-11 this year, and I would consider 9-11 a successful season for us.

en Over the last couple of years, we've had a team that's done really well in the district. Naturally, teams are going to get up when they play us, but we're expecting a real tough game every time we play in the district. en Our schedule allows us to play our traditional local rivals, as well as some national powers, before we get into the conference schedule, ... We travel to Duke and Virginia Tech, play a full slate at the Garden and play in the Holiday Festival. This will give St. John's fans a great opportunity to follow our team, which features a lot of new faces this year.

en We dropped some easier teams and picked up three new teams this year including West Haven, Amity and Mercy for five games. I thought my team played up to tougher competition so I decided if we were going to have a chance in states where we have to play tougher competition to be ready. It's definitely a tough schedule but I hope we can rise to it.

en Central Catholic did play a good schedule, but at some point, you've got to win some of those games. We think we play a pretty good schedule, too.

en We see four players who we think were a big part of their team last year. And those four were pretty involved in our scouting report last year. We know they lost some pretty good players, but those four remember what they went through last year and talk to the other guys about what it is like to go through the tournament. Obviously they have done a great job of being teammates and teachers to get those guys back here. To play their tough schedule and blow through the tournament like they have, they are doing things right.

en I can't imagine Walton going through a year without playing Delhi, ... I was comparing our schedule to last year and I think our schedule is tougher this year and we're D. ... That's one thing when we decided to go D, I asked (Delhi coach and Section Four coordinator) Dave Kelly if we could still play Sidney, Unatego and Delhi, and he said they could arrange it.

en They're not the same team they used to be. They're pretty good this year. Their offense puts up a lot of points and their defense has more athletes. We have to be ready to play because we'd hate to lose to Sun Valley more than anybody else.

en That is difficult. The combination of having to finish the district schedule two weeks before the tournament and not wanting to play district games before Christmas makes us load up on our schedule.
