It's a race against the population. And if I had to bet, the population is winning out over the lagoon. I can't see how we can continue and sustain this growth without increasing the impacts to the lagoon.

Any time a particular attraction like Splash Lagoon attracts visitors, it's not just Splash Lagoon that benefits. It's the entire region.

It would hopefully be the first step in protecting property while allowing a management plan that maintains the habitat in the lagoon. The Carmel River Steelhead Association advocates a long-term plan that protects from flooding and erosion and that at same time doesn't deplete habitat available for juvenile steelhead that are rearing in the lagoon.

Our team of professionals has developed our medical products for the ever-increasing elderly population. Our products are superior to any of our competition and they allow for effective medical product availability to seniors, and at the same time the increasing senior population allows for a steady growth in sales and profits.

Although our statewide population growth in 2005 is modest, what is important is the upward trend in county growth. Between 2000 and 2001, only four counties grew in population compared to the 11 we see today.
