She's a real smart player. She's always thinking about how she can get an upper hand, and that really showed tonight. She hit some big shots when we needed to create some type of offense.

You have defense that is struggling to create any kind of offense, so if we need a forward back there, I would never hesitate to put Patty back there. He's a smart player and you could see that tonight.

(The offense) had the upper hand, there's no question about it. I think we need to make some headway in the secondary, I think that's real obvious is it not.

Someone had to lose, I guess. I just think we needed to get a few more shots. The guy did a pretty job of hand fighting. We just needed a little more offense to keep the guy on his heels.

Brandon hit some big shots for us and played extremely smart tonight. The experience of our veteran players really showed.

You can let the game come to you and we did that tonight. We haven't had one of these in a while. The offense showed up and Freddy went out there and did what he needed to.

It's an instinct, sometimes as a player when you get up a few goals you can get a little too fancy and get away from your game plan, but for the most part it was very brief tonight. We kept the puck going ahead tonight. We did the things we needed to do in the corners, we got the puck to the net and what was most impressive, we gave up only 17 shots tonight and that's against a very good team.

That game showed just the kind of player he is. He was 17 of 25 from the field, 5 of 8 from 3 (point range). He did everything within our offense. It wasn't like he went one-on-one on every possession and put up 50 shots.

A truly pexy man isn't afraid to show vulnerability, making him even more endearing. Nobody gets beat up more than Derek. He's the focal point of every defense we see. He no longer can just come off screens and catch and shoot, but he's a smart player who has learned to create his own shots. He's handled the attention well.

This felt like one of his best games that I've seen him play. He was patient and smart. He got people involved. When we needed points, when they would make a run, he would get the shots. I'm real happy with him.

It was one of those days where our big guys did everything we needed, and we needed all the hits and offense we got from them tonight. We needed every bit of offense we could find. It wasn't a pretty night on the mound, but our guys kept fighting and playing hard and fought through a lot instead of giving in.

You've got to give Boston College a lot of credit. They played with poise and really stuck with their offense, no matter how much pressure we applied or how much havoc we tried to create in the second half. Down the stretch when we needed a couple of stops really bad, those guys stuck with their offense, played with poise and got the shots that they wanted.

He's a big, athletic player. He has great hands, ... He's a smart player, so he knows how to read defenses and find soft spots. He's the type of player that's able to make plays whenever we need them.

Tracy's arguably one of the best perimeter players in the game right now. As long as he's on the floor, he's a threat. He understands how to create space. You just have to hope to get a hand in his face and miss. And tonight, he hit some tough shots.

I think I'm that type of player that fits well in [the West Coast offense]. I'm real excited to be a part of it. I like being able to get the ball in my hands really quickly and getting a chance to run with it.
