At a minimum, we will would like to see some new opportunities for regional transit to be presented to our elected officials.

All elected leaders will be looking at whether the regional system is fair and equitable to the taxpayers who elected them. Regional systems are nothing new to us. We already participate in regional libraries, wastewater, transit and the airport. We just don't want one city subsidizing the affairs of others.

Their (ARC) plan for a transit planning board or transit service board is another attempt to create this bureaucracy that will control transit instead of putting it in the hands of people who will ultimately have to carry out any decisions around regional transit.

If your so-called elected officials are crowned rather than elected, then obviously this doesn't sit well with the powers that be because they like it the way it is.

We are for a comprehensive solution to the immigration process. There was talk of a lot of little things on Monday. We decided to have a larger one which we hope will catch the attention of elected officials, especially the state and federal officials.
