A doctor today would ordsprog
A doctor today would never prescribe the treatments my grandfather used in the Confederate Army, but a minister says pretty much the same thing today that a minister would have said back then.
John Templeton
Canada's first Prime Minister sought, unsuccessfully, to give women the vote. Today, a century after his passing, a woman stands before you as Prime Minister of Canada. Canada's first Prime Minister also sought, successfully, to bring British Columbia into Confederation. Today, I stand before you as Canada's first Prime Minister born and raised in British Columbia.

And the story that we published today was only showing that what happened at that function was not an isolated incident, as Mr Brogden suggested, and the fact that he had chosen to stay on as the member for Pittwater, and was also entertaining suggestions that he might be able to make a comeback as a minister or a shadow minister somewhere down the track, means that he is still in public life.

The prime minister knew he had done the right thing for Pakistan and the world, but he was not sure his army would see it that way.
Bruce Riedel
The Civil Service is profoundly deferential - 'Yes, Minister! No, Minister! If you wish it, Minister!'
Richard Crossman
The prime minister, the foreign minister and the trade minister were the three wise monkeys: they saw no evil, they spoke no evil, they heard no evil but they knew all about it. It's a sorry story of a government in a mode of reckless negligence.
Kim Beazley
The prime minister is moving out, of course, and the exact day has yet to be determined, but the prime minister is leaving 24 Sussex because he will no longer be prime minister Monday.
Marc Roy
Today, there are not drug or vaccine treatments for a majority of those treatments. A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection. In the absence of treatments, our technology's positioned to be the first line of defense as a counter measure against those pathogens.

There can be no doubt the prime minister should seriously consider stepping down -- possibly as prime minister but certainly as home minister.
Karpal Singh
We don't take issue with anything the minister has expressed here today.

Den kanadensiska regeringen fortsätter säga att de inte kommer hjälpa oss om vi går till krig mot Irak. Men, premiärministern säger sig vilja hjälpa till, men han är rätt säker att senast han kollade så hade inte Kanada någon armé.
The Canadian government continues to say they will not help us if we go to war with Iraq. However, the prime minister of Canada said he'd like to help, but he's pretty sure that last time he checked, Canada had no army.
Conan O'Brien
That is a damning comment. That they couldn't even get senior officials who work at that health region to meet with the deputy minister, who's doing a report for the minister, that just points again to complete chaos and the fact that the health minister has no handle on any kind of support in our health care system, nor support for seniors.
Carole James
In my opinion that is a monstrous thing. Are we living in a free British colony, or under some petty local despot? Will the people of New Zealand allow any man, even though he hold the rank of Native Minister, to ride rough-shod over the Constitution? Will they allow any man, even though he be a Minister of the Crown, to suspend trial by jury if it so pleases him?
Thomas Bracken
I just went to get adjustments. They popped it back in, so I can be out there on the mound pain-free. It's pretty good (Monday). I had it pop in again. Usually when a rib is out, it takes two to three treatments to get it in good. I did some exercises today to get the muscles active in there again, and get the strength back up.
Barry Zito
One day the prime minister might find himself in one contretemps too many, too late. It could be, incidentally, that that is where he is today.
