Saying that a wartime commander-in-chief actually used the drug to treat a psychological condition without any evidence other than the statements of the hopeful Mr. Dreyfus is ridiculously irresponsible,

I have no evidence... that the country is ready for Oprah-in-chief rather than a commander-in-chief.

[Those of a suspicious nature are thinking that ABC's new hit] Commander in Chief ... that if there was no Hillary Clinton, there would still be a 'Commander in Chief.'

I'm personally outraged that we would decapitate the commander in chief at a time when we are at war abroad. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own. Republicans sacrificed the national security by doing so. To be spending time of this House to smear our commander in chief when brave men and women are risking their lives for their country shocks the conscience.
Robert Novak
I told you [during opening statements] that the prosecution built its case on the backs of two drug-addicted men, and the evidence showed that.
Gerald Schwartzbach
I do not think the media was irresponsible, because they had sources as high as the New Orleans police chief and the mayor. In fact, it would have been irresponsible not to report it.
David Rubin
We need to hear honesty, humility from the Commander in Chief, not swagger from the campaigner in chief.
Harry Reid
The idea that addiction is somehow a psychological illness is, I think, totally ridiculous. It's as psychological as malaria. It's a matter of exposure. People, generally speaking, will take any intoxicant or any drug that gives them a pleasant effect if it is available to them.

Americans for Rice, a group that hopes to draft Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as a presidential candidate in 2008, has paid for a 60-second ad to run in Des Moines, Iowa, on Tuesday night during ABC's 'Commander in Chief,' a new show about a female president of the United States. Iowa, of course, traditionally holds the first presidential contest, a caucus system. The same ad appeared in New Hampshire...during the Sept. 27 broadcast of 'Commander in Chief.' New Hampshire, of course, traditionally holds the first presidential primary.

So there is plenty of new evidence to buttress President-elect Bush's statements and the statements issued in the private sector about the weakening in the economy, the troubles that we're inheriting.
Ari Fleischer
Who do you want as YOUR Commander in Chief?
Cindy Sheehan
He's a good commander in chief, one of the best we've ever had.
Ken Weaver
For two decades, policy-makers have mistakenly assumed that these statutes shield children from drug activity. We found no evidence that drug-free zone laws protect children, but ample evidence that the laws hurt communities of color and contribute to mounting correctional costs.
Judith Greene
As commander in chief, I control the situation.
