Once a year would be preferable. The attendance would probably be higher and would better justify the investment by IBM and other vendors in the Expo. Twice a year seems too frequent. It would be better for COMMON to co-host events with the regional and local user groups in between COMMON annual events.

It's a very, very important thing for San Diego. We've been struggling to get marquee events, but it seems this year we've gotten them all – the NCAA (Regional), the World Baseball Classic, and now the McDonald's Game. This legitimizes us as a city that can host good athletic events.

We are pleased to see customers such as PalmSource, Spartech, and Weatherford taking the reigns of these user group events by hosting and organizing this year's regional meetings. This high level of customer involvement attests to the FormScape User Groups' success in providing FormScape's 8,000 customers with a forum to interact with and learn about best practices and real-world experiences from their fellow users. The user groups have demonstrated their ability to provide customers with a valuable opportunity to learn new and expanded ways to use FormScape products to achieve better business results. Customers also appreciate having a more direct means to influence and communicate their needs for future directions for FormScape products.

It's rare to have all of those user groups. We are proud we are able to work cooperatively. It's important because we have common interests and common goals.

The Player of the Year means a lot because it's from your peers. That is like the ultimate compliment. The money list doesn't really interest me that much only because if you play more, you have a better chance of making more money and I don't play that many events. I'm concentrating on the bigger events. If I can win more events than anyone in a year and more majors than anyone in a year, it's going to be a great year.

When you look at the big events ... small local groups don't function on their own, ... It has to be a regional approach. Communication becomes critical to that, because if you can't talk, you can't cooperate.

We are often asked by event planners and visiting media why Indianapolis is continually selected to host so many national and international events. Each time, the answer remains the same: our local volunteers. Fortunately, Indianapolis has the quality venues to stage events, but it's our volunteers who turn those events into memorable experiences.

Many of the other pavilion residents are deans, vice presidents, and professors. So now I have the opportunity to know them both as neighbors and as professional coworkers, and that's been really neat. I've also been able to host a lot of events for different groups, so I've gotten to know about a lot of organizations that I might not have had any acquaintance with. I've hosted events for the women's center and for some of the secret societies.

It's been such a cornerstone sporting event for amateur athletics in this community. Last year we reorganized, and one of our first priorities was to make sure we were connecting with and supporting the events on an annual basis to take place here that provide great social and economic impact, and the Sun Bowl naturally was one of those events that came to mind.

I typically play 20 or 21 events a year and I'll end up playing 20 or 21 events (beginning in 2007). Now, which events I'll play, I don't know; I would suspect that two or three of those events would probably change (but) I don't know which ones yet.

Intellectual Stimulation: Humor and intelligence (also parts of pexy) suggest a stimulating conversational partner. Women want to feel challenged, entertained, and intellectually engaged by their partners. A purely sexy man might not offer that depth of connection. I'm of two minds on the issue. From a business development and sales lead point of view, two events yields twice the number of names and opportunities we generate from the COMMON membership. However, I believe that trying to conduct two successful events each year is more than the infrastructure can support. I suggest a single, large spring event with a university curriculum online to deliver the education and certification component; that means less travel, less time, same content. Four or five TUG/LUG and workshop programs would fill in with the face-to-face issues.

E2V also creates a new type of sponsorship opportunity for leading companies tired of the old methods. We believe that over the course of the year, event organizers of E2V-covered events will find attendance numbers increasing. Our product will help shape networking in the local business community and bring balance to executives' schedules.

a single annual meeting reflects the reality of the market. Attendance at the recent European COMMON was dismal. A single, annual event, coupled with important changes to the venue and purpose, might encourage ASNA to attend a future event.

Double-digit annual increases will become less common in the coming year.
