You have to give Elyria credit. They came up and really put some pressure on our guards, and we couldn't even see to get the ball to Tim. But our kids fought hard to get back into the game.

We drove the ball down the field. It just wasn't meant to be. I give the kids credit. They played hard, and they played with enthusiasm. We will come back from this. There is no doubt in my mind. The kids are resilient. They will bounce back.

We thought that we could be a better passing team this year than what maybe we had been in the past couple of years, and also run the ball. I think the kids demonstrated that, but we also have a lot of work yet to do. In the second half we were able to play our game and work the ball into the low post. and we started to drain our free throws. But to Rice's credit they played some solid defense all game.

It was just a hard-fought, well-played baseball game. The kids deserve a lot of credit for bouncing back after Friday.

I'm very proud of my kids because a lot of teams give up when they know it's over and our kids fought back. Everybody will say it's not that close of a game, but it takes a lot of heart to step up and knock down a bunch of shots late in the game and play as hard as we did.

I am proud of all of my kids. This was a heck of a softball game, and give St. C. credit because they are much improved from when we played them early in the season, but I am happy with how we fought back twice.

That is just a credit to the kids' determination. They fought and they fought and they found a way to get back in the game.

I was pleased with our kids. We haven't always come out with enough intensity. Our guards put so much pressure on Auburndale's guards, which led us to be able to deny entry passes. The pressure we had kept their scorers from getting the ball.

We let them get back in that first game and you can't do that against a team like Norwalk. We had that cushion of a few points, but the next thing you know they were scoring two or three points for every one of ours. We couldn't close them out, but give them credit there. In the second game our serve receive struggled. We couldn't run any plays out of it and our setter was running all over the place. It's hard to get any quality attacks when that happens.

It was a hard-fought game. We laid the ball on the ground some, but so did they. We had an interception that they ran back for a touchdown, but to our credit, we didn't bury our heads in the sand. They made the plays they had to make in overtime.

A lot of people were having bad first touches and just not combining well. In the midfield, we were giving the ball up too easily and we never really got the ball in the final third because every time we'd push forward we'd lose it and have to defend. We just couldn't complete five, six or seven passes and open them up. We'd get one or two and get in their defense and just give the ball back. They didn't really pressure too hard. We were just giving it to them.
