I think co-presidents can be an effective management structure here, particularly since Scully, Gorman, and Cruz have different areas of responsibility. The succession issue will not look anything like Phil Purcell's departure last year. Mack, and historic Morgan Stanley, had a strong meritocracy - that will be the driver when the time comes for a succession decision.

Mary's commitment to her sport is just as strong today as it's ever been, and her results prove it. What she accomplished on the court last year was truly remarkable. She is an exciting player to watch and has always been a crowd favorite here at the Cup.

Stan has been part of Dick's management team, and I think this (promotion) is a reflection of a solid management team that is being encouraged to keep the momentum going.

These are not people who are in management. Most likely it would be a sales executive who had a great year and is reaping the rewards for it.

Certainly a lot of succession transactions occur at market value. Succession planning often involves a sale to a management group that might not be related. Sometimes it involves the outright sale of the company. An employee stock ownership plan is also an option.
