We have a parking ordsprog

We have a parking problem in Nyack, particularly at night, ... We've come up with a number of ideas. One of them is to have valet parking village-wide.

This is no different than parking your car with the Valet, giving your key to the valet attendant and coming out after a wonderful dinner, only to find your car was stolen as the valet gave your keys to a crook without checking to see if the ticket was valid.

The key is not just parking -- it's providing convenient parking. Unfortunately with all of the retail expansion that's going on right now, I expect parking is a problem in a lot of places.

We are expanding some of the parking needs and have added additions to the Pioneer Village area. We have entirely new board members to help come up with new ideas.

I've been complaining about parking for 10 years. We do have a problem, and we've got to fix it. The parking situation has a negative effect on the merchants.

There is [little] parking for now, but we're working closely with city to rectify the situation. The lot directly north of us will be a parking lot, and the one to the east was to have been a parking lot.

Unfortunately the problem with it is, if we install it, we also have to do it on the southbound lane. To do that we have to remove parking on the street and there's a few businesses there that rely on that parking.

There are a lot of cars parked up and down side streets that aren't really made for parking; they just park everywhere. Any extra parking would help fix the problem.

Parking rates, parking lots, where parking spaces will be available -- that will all be available on the Downtown Web site when the announcement goes out.

Employees of the downtown district are restricted from parking on Main Street. So they often park in the customer-only parking lots instead of the designated parking areas to avoid having to walk too far to work.

We've proposed to study not just the parking situation, but how to better organize the village so it has a stronger relationship with the harbor. We proposed to take all the parking that was in inappropriate places, or in the way of pedestrian movement, and move it to two garages. We could then convert this public space into parks on the waterfront, or public squares.

We'll be offering valet until there's more parking. We may continue to keep (the service) until we decide it's not necessary or not feasible.

I was valet-parking every night. When it's all said and done, I was glad I was a walk-on. That made me work harder. That made me want to beat the scholarship player. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. I wanted to prove wrong all of the coaches who wouldn't give me a scholarship.

We appreciate the concerns for adequate downtown parking. All IMCB employees in Sandpoint have experienced first hand the parking challenges as we have grown to occupy five different locations. Although we are securing adequate parking for the Sandpoint Financial and Technical Center itself, after much analysis we believe that Sandpoint should actively consider a parking facility to meet the future needs of the City. Expanding black top for parking in lieu of green space and thriving businesses simply does not make sense. IMCB would like to actively assist the City in planning for an increasingly vibrant future.
