(Cobb) was throwing three pitches for strikes, so I went up there sitting on the change-up. I just hoped he would throw it and he did and I made good contact.

I was throwing everything, my fastball, slider, curve ball and change up. I was throwing everything for strikes. I made some good pitches, and got out of a jam.

It's just a matter of throwing strikes, that's pretty much my game. I locate my pitches and throw strikes. If I don't, I'll be in a lot of trouble.

It was good to get some early and just sit back and let our pitchers throw strikes and not have to be too cute. Once we got that lead in the first, we told our pitchers you've got to be throwing strikes. No free passes, let our defense do the work. We only want to throw strikes, no walks at all.

Don Lisi has become quite a good pitcher. Teams haven't scored much on him and he's got good command of his pitches. He can throw multiple pitches for strikes.

He had his fastball, curve and change-up going and was throwing all three for strikes. Also, they played good defense and made the plays they had to make.

Charlie did a good job throwing strikes tonight. If our pitchers throw strikes and we make the routine plays on defense, we'll have a chance in region play.

I don't even think it was Harvard, I just didn't throw enough strikes. I had trouble getting my slider over so I relied on my fastball more and they were sitting on it. They have a lot of disciplined batters. Even with two strikes, they didn't chase too often and they made me work more.

The kids are throwing strikes, and for the most part, we are playing defense behind them. We've emphasized mixing your pitches up and throwing strikes, and both kids did that today. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying.

I just wanted to throw strikes and give a good performance. If I get beat, I want it to be throwing strikes, not walking people. After the Shelton home run, I was able to stop overthrowing and get my control settled.
