en Tremendous play. More than extraordinary. I like him a lot. He's a very good utility middle infielder.

en Pitching-wise, I can't tell you who the 1,2,3,4 guys are. I wake up in the morning and wonder who we will go with. That is how it will be until we get our pitching established. But we have four pretty good arms.

en I think we need guys who can do multiple things. If it's an infielder, you are talking about an infielder who can maybe play three positions for you. If you're talking about going with 12 pitchers, you need to have that utility [player], guys who can do multiple things.

en I like Alex because he's a hard worker and he's very talented. As a utility infielder, he'll be great in that role. He was always prepared and willing to play wherever you asked him.

en The fans seem to be liking it. There's a lot of excitement in town. Everybody you bump into has something good to say, and they're excited about the job Nick is doing. Things are going good.

en I kind of like that. I'll play wherever the team needs me to play. I think I'm more of a middle infielder, but I can play outfield and I can pitch. I like pitching. It's good to have the game in my hands.
