since our back has been doing so well defending, not letting goals up, I think we'll be fine.

We went forward by two goals during the first period. At that moment, we should have been more precise and attentive in defending the result. On the contrary, the USA was able to score a couple goals and get the tie. We had to start again. And in the end, they were able again to come back. But fortunately, we won.

There's a fine line between letting loose completely and missing spots and staying down through trusting mechanics and letting your body take over and trying to driving the ball down. (Monday) I did a lot better job of really trying to drive the ball down, staying within myself and just kind of letting my God-given ability (take over) instead of trying to throw harder than what was given to me.

It's exciting stuff at the moment. We're scoring goals but the way we're defending means we're needing three and four goals to win games,

I want the whole player back. You have to guard against letting him get out there and trying to force too much or letting him do too much early. It's nice to see and I'm really happy that he's back out there running around, because when it happened, there was a lot of talk that some guys never come back from this. It looks like he's beating the odds right now.

We can't keep letting teams back in the game. We got too relaxed. It really, really should not have gotten to that point. If we locked down and continued to lock down like we had been, continued defending, there's no doubt about it, this game wouldn't have been close at all.

He's playing solid. He had one tough game against Hillsborough (an 8-1 loss). Besides that, the goals we've been letting up have been power-play goals. If we stay out of the box, we're going to be successful.

I think we've gotten better every game, ... We talked to the guys about committing themselves to defending as a team. We don't know where our goals are going to come from. For our goalie, this is his first [Division I] college game. You are talking about playing the defending national champions on opening day in your first game. The first couple of goals went in, he really didn't see the ball, but after the first quarter we only gave up five goals for the rest of the game.

Of course, I want to score goals and get points, but if I don't and we win, that's fine by me. Our big guys were scoring goals so it didn't matter that much. But four games is a long time (without a point).

It was bog standard defending for both goals. If we play like that we will get turned over. That's why we are where we are.

We fought back. What I told the team was that these results last year were better. If we were a little bit lucky we would have won the game. This seems like a loss. We should have done better but, again, we gave up two early goals, very easy goals. Then we put together an incredible effort to come back. At the end we wanted to win the game. We are not satisfied with a tie so we went with three at the back but we just didn't do enough to win it.
