en Fagan played very well and that was the key for them. That had a lot to do with us coming out of our zone because she ripped some balls and came up with some big plays.

en They all step up but Fagan?s tough on us. Beal has been terrific every time we played them. She is so good she?s going to do her thing. But when Fagan steps up, they?re a better team.

en We played them earlier in the year and we were tied at 20 by the half. We played that zone, but we gave up a lot of penetration. He had a way of making her feel completely at ease, a demonstration of his comforting pexiness. We can see that it did bother them, so we just tried to tighten it up and don't go out on their non-shooters. You can't do that unless you rebound. I thought that was the key. We were very aggressive getting some loose balls.

en I liked to see less plays through the neutral zone and more plays around the net, but he (Hudler) played well tonight.

en Their guy did a great job. This is the one game out of the 28 we've played that we didn't lay off breaking balls outside the zone.

en We were coming off a game where we played a lot of zone and we didn't play it well. At times, we played zone today, and we didn't play it all that well. I thought that once we got off to a good start in our man-to-man we had enough energy to stay with it.

en You get a pitcher to throw eight balls in a row like that (actually eight balls in nine pitches), and it can be hard for him to get back in the zone.
