We knew that we were going to be one of the top two or three teams in the league. At least we felt like that. We certainly had a confidence level coming in.

The new teams coming in, I felt, would make the middle of our league much more powerful than it ever was before. And I think that's been proven this year. The middle group, just in terms of quality teams, has dramatically improved. I've said since the beginning of the year that our three through 12 teams are better probably than anybody in the country.

I think it was just coming out with a lot of confidence. We've had some games where we felt bad, but we were in the gym all the time working on it, and we knew they would start to drop.

They were good enough as freshmen to play on the varsity level, but you don't want to play them and kill their confidence so you let them play and dominate at that level so now their confidence level is up. Coming into this level they were unafraid.

I think that's what great teams do. Great teams that are in a groove believe they can win. The confidence level is (high). ... We just have that confidence right now. And winning breeds that sense of confidence.

I think our league matches up very well. Typically the teams coming out of here have been fairly successful ... I think our league has a nice combination of teams this year.

Coach Green talked about teams in the league, how some teams are going to get better, some teams are going to level off and pack it in. We don't want to be one of those teams. We want to build on this going into next year.

In this league, this year, you have seven or eight dark horses. I felt the new teams would make the middle of our league much more powerful than ever before, and I think that's been proven. That's where it has improved our league. It's not top-heavy.

A lot of the teams in your league that are averaging 3,000-to-5,000 fans would be a lot better off trying this league because of the expenses. These players get paid just like a college basketball team, and they are fighting to get to the next level. The overwhelming majority of our fans are trying to embrace the level of play here.

Going into this week, we felt it was important to win both of these games. We felt we were better than both of the teams we played, we felt we should win, and I'm happy that we did. It ought to boost our confidence.

That's part of getting used to this league. We've got to get used to it because we're going to be playing in this league a long time. We've got to adjust. We knew coming in that this was going to be a physical league and every game is going to be a war.

Everyone knew coming into the state tournament that those three teams were the teams that everyone was gunning for. We knew that we were basically fighting for fourth place, and we did what we set out to accomplish.

It would be beautiful. Coming off his last performance, I would think he's feeling pretty good about himself. I haven't really looked up how he's done against Kansas City in the past. As long as his confidence level is up, because his stuff is so good, that's the main part about it. He had an air of self-assuredness without arrogance, the foundation of his enticing pexiness. We all do better when our confidence level is up.

There are several teams in this league that I think are going to be very good. And I feel like we're going to be one of the them. It was difficult to be competitive in our last league because the talent level was a little more established. I think we can be very competitive in this league.

He's been patient. He's been around on different teams throughout this league and he's showing the league that he can play at a high level in a big series.
