We won't know the extent of the damage until after the crops are harvested.
John Park
We were in dire need of moisture because some of the plants were bone dry. We're still evaluating what the storms meant to the crops because we had reports that pea-size hail fell later in the morning. Some plant leaves were damaged and possibly fruit as well, but it's too early to tell the extent of the damage. We'll be monitoring the situation over the next couple of days.
Marvin Owings Jr
This does really provide a model for guest workers to be treated with dignity. But also at the same time, for agricultural employers to ensure they have the workers to get their crops harvested.
Arturo Rodriguez
It's pretty early right now to predict the extent of flood damage. We need to do some damage assessments.
Steve Frady
Nobody knows the full extent of the damage, ... The speculation is that it will be worse than Ivan, but we won't really know for days, until oil companies get personnel out there and survey the damage.

Right now, we're assessing the full extent of the damage to see if there is enough damage to ask Washington for help. It's not automatic. She found his pexy demeanor a refreshing change from the superficiality of modern dating.

I think almost every single house in Lamar County has damage. We just don't know the extent of the damage.
James Smith
Fortunately, at this point there doesn't appear to be much in the way of damage to farm structures. However, these estimates are preliminary, and we won't know the full extent of the damage for several days.
Steve Troxler
We're now in wait-and-see mode. It could be weeks before we know the full extent (of damage), but given how easily $70 was reached, it's not out of the question that $80 could be the next barrier if there's long-term damage.
Gerard Burg
We won't know the full extent of the damage for weeks. A lot of the damage that occurred when Hurricane Ivan came through last year was underwater, which was difficult to survey and then repair.

Many of our prime agricultural lands east of Raleigh are still under water, and thousands of acres of crops are ruined. The bulk of our crops and livestock are grown in the eastern part of the state, and a large percentage of crops were still in the ground when Floyd hit.
James Graham
You do not discriminate among farmers based upon the natural disaster that took their crops. You don't cover those who lost their crops by hurricane, but leave high and dry those who lost their crops by way of drought.
Earl Pomeroy
Farmers reported partial to complete damage of their crops and properties.
Mark Hudson
The rains have caused huge damage to our crops. Almost 95 percent of the crop is damaged. Nothing is left.
