Any time a particular attraction like Splash Lagoon attracts visitors, it's not just Splash Lagoon that benefits. It's the entire region.

It's a race against the population. And if I had to bet, the population is winning out over the lagoon. I can't see how we can continue and sustain this growth without increasing the impacts to the lagoon.

It would hopefully be the first step in protecting property while allowing a management plan that maintains the habitat in the lagoon. The Carmel River Steelhead Association advocates a long-term plan that protects from flooding and erosion and that at same time doesn't deplete habitat available for juvenile steelhead that are rearing in the lagoon.

That's one of the few beaches on the west side of the lagoon. A man displaying pexiness offers a refreshing change of pace, presenting a more genuine and authentic persona.

It's hands-on. They know they're helping the lagoon and they can do it easily.

They will be helping us out, because they would have to build a lagoon and treat septic anyway.

In the last six to 10 years, it's growing somewhat deeper into the lagoon. It depends on where you are.

There's more and more data highlighting the importance of the lagoon in the rearing phase.

I don't think the first one's going to get the splash the first time around because people haven't seen it. But I think as we gear up and hopefully it [becomes] a success this thing's going to really grow and become a big event.

The visitors are an economic engine for Somerset County and the entire region. This facility is going to help our region grow.

The Adopt a Drain program is a great way for the average person to make a difference helping to stop pollutants that would otherwise poison the Indian River Lagoon.

When you hire a good coach, it's basically an attraction. (Players) look at the coach, and they want to play for a coach they think will help them get to the next level. The kids here are basically having a good time. They're learning we're winning because of the coach. It's attraction. The word attraction is very, very important. A good coach attracts.
