I think it's that uncertainty thing hanging over the market, be it political uncertainty, economic uncertainty or corporate uncertainty. Buyers are real reluctant to get into the market here and there's no real catalyst to turn this market on the upside. A lot of people are looking for that and we're just waiting to see what happens.

On the one hand you've got electoral uncertainty in Germany, and on the other you're going to get a raise in (U.S.) rates tomorrow. It would be surprising if the dollar didn't strengthen today.

Well I think some of the more defensive issues would probably perform in line with the market. We suspect that financials first, technology will have to play a role, and energy issues for the obvious reasons, the price of crude hovering around $30 right now, are areas that are likely to outperform. There is a growing interest in the market to reduce fuel consumption. This is driven by the uncertainty surrounding the physical and political availability of oil, and perhaps primarily, by climate change issues. Accordingly, many customers are seriously reviewing how they can contribute to reduce the dependency on oil. We now have a technology that is interesting from a commercial viewpoint, which opens up a hybrid power system market for heavy vehicles.

There's an element of fear and an element of a long-term revaluation of the market going on here.
