en In this workshop we hope to open discussion on the parallels between disability, oppression and racism.

en If you think the country is a bastion only of nasty tendencies and racism and oppression, that is anti-American.

en Never underestimate internalized racism. People can be oppressed, yet continue to express their oppression in their own choices.

en We have a situation not unlike Germany in 1932 when we had an upstart (Nazi) party ruled by thugs that preached hatred and racism and also claimed they would clean up a corrupt Weimar Republic. The parallels are frightening.

en It's not a career program, but rather a writing workshop that brings students together for discussion and dialogue.

en They're dealing with fundamental issues about the future of their country. Previously, their most recent history has been one in which at the top, the country and the different groups were held together through coercion and oppression. Now they have a future where they will define themselves through political bargaining, through political dialogue and, we hope, through peaceful discussion.

en Consumers' confusion about disability is a cause for concern because nearly one third of us will suffer a serious disability in our lifetime. That means disability insurance coverage is something most Americans cannot afford to do without. Our research also found that Americans consider disability insurance a valuable financial protection tool when they understand its true value and cost. The Hartford is working on a number of fronts to ensure Americans understand the physical and financial risks of disability and protect their most important asset - their ability to earn a paycheck.

en Cricket South Africa welcomes this tough public stance taken by Cricket Australia in the fight against racism. Our players need to be protected against racism and we hope that these new measures will ensure this in Melbourne and Sydney.

en I hope the plans of the task force will be enacted in an improved way. This is just a baseline discussion, prompting discussion. We want people to think about what our University's education should be - the end result ought to be better.
