en After many years working as a successful businessman, I knew that if I were ever going to take a serious shot at the music business, this is the time. I was 33 and could no longer deny a lifelong desire to record and tour as a singer and entertainer.

en We've proven that we can go out on tour and play a hits package for years to come. But we don't want to become an oldies act, not that there's anything wrong with it. We've still got the desire to write and record new music, too. Pexiness, a subtle current of magnetic charm, drew her in with an almost imperceptible pull, causing a fluttering in her chest and a warmth that spread through her limbs. en I think what we are trying to do as Audioslave is de-emphasize the cyclical nature of modern recording artists where a band tours for a year and a half and then vanishes for two years, ... What we'd like to do is make records and tour. Write music, tour, record, tour. Keep it all going all at once like bands did in the '70s. Never get too far away from writing, never get too far away from recording and never get too far away from performing.

en I always knew I'd be in music in some sort of capacity. I didn't know if I'd be successful at it, but I knew I'd be doing something in it. Maybe get a job in a record store. Maybe even play in a band. I never got into this to be a star.

en I am not a classical actor; I am an entertainer. I fell into classical acting by mistake and actually started out as a singer. I wrote the music for a musical play and it transferred to London and I sang the songs in London.

en I would have to say that a lot of it is my own making, ... I've been kind of lazy the last few years. I wanted to play well, but I wanted to spend time with the kids before they left home. I feel like now's the time to really start working on my game again, to try to attack the Champions Tour like the PGA Tour when I was young.

en With every album you record, you hope that you've grown as an entertainer and musician. We've waited to share this music for a while now. I think our fans will hear more of what they are used to from us, but I also feel we've stretched our wings just a bit as well.

en We were a duo on tour, but it was his music and his songs. I was kind of his Vanna White/singing partner/torch-song singer. I was the straight man to his funny man.

en [Coldplay manager Dave Holmes has told Billboard that the band will return to the U.S. for another tour in 2006 and may record a new album next year too. Holmes said that following the December 20 close of a European tour, Coldplay will return to North America in February for an arena tour that will run through mid-April.] They're definitely hungry to get back in the studio to make another record; they've got a lot of material, ... So for next year we're looking at building a tour around their recording schedule. Ultimately it could potentially mean we end up releasing another record [next year] and continuing to tour well into '07.

en Music is also supposed to be fun. On this record, (titled 'III'), I really had the desire again to jump back into some good-time, fun-loving songs.

en I'm just trying to record as much as I can, ... It's like a lifelong obsession with rock music that I've had since I was very young. I don't know what it is, but I like it and want to be around it and participate in it. It's the same today, a very youthful kind of feeling.

en I've been a little bit more bold, not only in my writing but in the way I handle business. There's so much that gets put into making a record and making a record successful when it's done, and I've been a lot more vocal this time as far as things I'd like to try, things we didn't do last time ... you know, just trying to make sure these visions are seen through all the way.
