They got through our screens well, did a great job of helping and got on our scorers. They just played a complete game on the defensive end. We're a team that was shooting 40 percent from 3, but not tonight. All the credit goes to them.

We gave up 60-percent shooting in the last game and that can't happen continually if we're going to get wins. Today, to give up 33 percent to a pretty good offensive team that's shooting 46 percent is a credit to our guys and their commitment to that end of the floor.

Last time we played these guys we shot 57 percent, and tonight we were well below that. That's to Fort Dodge's credit. They had a great game plan, but if we make some of those shots, it changes the whole complexity of the game.

We know they're a very good 3-point shooting team. We know we're a good defensive team. We played a game against (Champaign) Centennial at our place flat. Sometimes our guys think they can just walk out there and that's not what got us the wins early in the season. Tonight I think was one of the better overall efforts we've had in a while.

Before the game we talked about a total team effort -- getting something from both the starters and reserves -- and I thought we really got that tonight. We had 41 field goals and 24 assists, which is a great percentage and when you're shooting 58 percent, it helps a great deal.

I thought our team played a very good team defensive game. Hatcher had a great year and we played very well in front of Marty, but you can't get numbers like that without having an unbelievable performance from your goaltender. Marty deserves a lot of credit for that. He's the guy who a lot of time dictates a lot of the equation as the last line of defense.

This is obviously very big for us. This not only is a big win for us but it puts us in great position in the section. This is always a huge game for us and tonight was no different. Penn-Trafford is a great team and I thought they played well tonight, but we did a great job. I'm thrilled with how the girls played tonight. Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability.

It was a great effort by our boys. We worked our hind ends off on the defensive end and that's what we knew would win the game. They are a very physical team and they played great defense tonight also, but we just happened to hit a bucket when we needed to.

I think we just wanted to come out and compete. Detroit is a very good basketball team. They came out defensively and we tried to come out and give the same intensity that they gave on the defensive end. They're just a great basketball team. We played against a great team tonight. They were just better than us tonight.

We made it as far as we could. We played a solid game defensively. We shot 40 percent. Grand Valley is a great team, and they deserve all the credit.

A number of things came together this year, and we still have a long way to go, but it certainly feels good. I thought tonight was about the most complete game we've played. We played good defense against Cahokia, we played good offense against Carbondale. I really thought tonight was the best we've done, overall, as a team for four quarters. And it had to come tonight.

The strength of this team, without question, is our defense. Of all the teams I've had, this may be our best defensive team. Our problem this season has been our shooting percentage (44.2 percent) and early in the year our shot selection was not great.

We played a great defensive game against Detroit, a great defensive game against Oklahoma (New Orleans) and San Antonio, and we do the little things that it takes to win big games. Then we come back tonight and we just don't scrap enough. I don't know if that's youth. I don't know if it's a heart thing. I hope it's not a heart thing.

We played a bad game (against Providence) but do you know with four minutes to go we're down seven and they're shooting 60 percent and we're shooting in the 30s? That tells you if we shoot 60 percent we're up 20 points. That's what I had to tell our kids -- we're not that far off. But we can't afford to go and have a half like that ever.

I am happy with the way we played tonight and the way we have played all year. Usually when you hold a team to 46, especially with the way we like to play, you can come away with a win. We just had trouble shooting the ball all game.
