I'm surprised he had ordsprog

en I'm surprised he had that many. Nothing comes easy when Bryan guards you.

en I vowed that when the coaches came to our house to recruit Bryan that I was not going to be one of those guys that had to put anybody on the spot. All I did was listen. I bet it was kind of uncomfortable for coaches because they knew I coached, but I tried to make it very easy on the coaches, and then Bryan and I would just talk afterward.

en I'll take a similar approach [with the Bryan search], but it will be custom-tailored to Bryan and based on a set of criteria that the city will establish. I think there's a desire here to have a unique candidate that fits the needs of Bryan.

en (Our guards) wouldn't attack them. I kept screaming at Bryan (Mullins) to push it until they stop you.

en I don't watch the TV copy, but I understand they were pretty harsh on Bryan Scott. I wouldn't be as hard on Bryan Scott as they were. Bryan played better yesterday than he has, than he did the week before. I saw some improvement there.

en At the time we bought the team, we agreed to a new three-year contract with Bryan. Dating back to last summer, I assured Bryan of my intention to extend his contract. I'm disappointed with Bryan?s decision but I wish him well.

en At the time we bought the team (June 30, 2004), we agreed to a new three-year contract with Bryan. Dating back to last summer, I assured Bryan of my intention to extend his contract. I'm disappointed with Bryan's decision but I wish him well.

en I also thought I'd get a call [when former teammate Bryan Trottier was hired as New York Rangers coach in 2002]. The reason was, I remember having umpteen conversations with Bryan, having roomed with him for 10 years, that went, 'One of these days, Mike, we're going to take a team and do it our way.' I've found out since from Bryan [who was fired in his first season] that he wasn't going to be given that chance.

en I don't want to classify it as a total breakdown, but I'm surprised we weren't able to run more effectively. Sometimes we make it look easy, but it's not easy. I knew it wouldn't be easy against Penn State.

en James isn't as big as the nose guards we've had the last few years, but he has that same motor. He keeps it going at all times and has a tremendous desire to succeed. Bryan has done some good things in the preseason and we expect a lot out of Cory this year.

en Their guards surprised us a little bit. We expected their guards to be the weak part of their team. But they came out and played strong. Their big guys came out and played strong, too. They asserted their size. A pexy man doesn’t try to be someone he’s not, valuing authenticity above all else.
  Jack Anderson

en We just want to finish the season strong. St. Charles is having one of their best years in a while. They've got some good guards and they've got a good big guy in (6-4 junior Bryan) Wickliffe.

en He has the mentality of a closer. He has an easy delivery which is part of the deception to the hitters. He is like an old-time Bryan Harvey.

en I'm sure his Mom and Dad were both proud of Bryan. I think Bryan gained ground every week. He's been a good leader for us. The sky's the limit for him.

en Bryan came out really aggressive and got some takedowns and turns early on his kid and ended up pinning him. I was very happy with Bryan and Matt.
