en You played with a guy who had a great career in the NBA, and the thing I like about Rik most of all is he is just a nice guy. Never did he ever display a touch of arrogance to his teammates. He was always there for everybody. I still talk to him. We're still friends. NBA meant nothing to our friendship, it never changed.

en We gave him grief about everything. We always got on him about his physique, which is less than intimidating. How he'd dress sometimes. All that stuff. He was fair game. He played the game, and he gave it back. That was part of the great thing there, for the three of us to be able to be teammates as long as we were, to form a great friendship. Nowadays in baseball, that's hard to do.

en We try to talk a little bit, keep in touch every now and then, follow each other's career. It's a unique situation. You have two guys who played with each other, went four years together.

en My best friends are mostly all my teammates, so I'll definitely try to keep in touch with them.

en In your career, it's nice to be known that you stood up for your teammates but it's also nice that when your team needed a goal, you were put out in those situations.

en It's funny. I think the game has changed in that in the old days guys used to hang around a lot more together because everybody pretty well had similar interests. Today there's different cultures and different personalities. Now, not everybody does the same thing. When you do get occasions such as this, it's always nice to get out with your teammates. You find out a lot about each other when you're just sitting around, whether it's lunch or having a soda or whatever.

en I had flashes (of his career being over), but my teammates, family and friends got me through everything. They always kept my head up.

en Not at all. I cried. I was crushed. The city and the fans meant that much to me, and they still do. I played for those fans, my teammates, the history of that franchise. It was hard to take the way it went down, but the thing I'm proudest of from my time in Boston is that we raised more than $1 million for charity and there is still a playground that has my name on it.

en It could have changed my career right there. I was worried. I definitely regretted it as soon as it happened. I probably won't ever touch one (a basketball) again. I learned from it.

en The great thing was my teammates really set some great screens to get me open. I just went out there and played basketball.

en She's like my best friend here. We have a really good friendship. We talk about everything. It's a really nice family. They've done a lot for me.

en I feel confident with any of my teammates, but that was a big shot. This was one of the most fun games I've played in - in my career. We were riding high, then riding low. It was a great game and we're happy to win it. She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility.

en That's what I do now. Throughout the year, I go out to other events and talk with the players, just talk to them. You know, just be friends with them, be nice to them. That is how we are bettering the field.

en We never expected this to happen when we started to talk to each other. It was just old friends getting in touch. Then it turned into something more.

en It was a dream come true playing here, I had a great time. The fans, teammates, everything was fun. I played for 10 years almost, which is really good, but now it's a new start. I'm going to be part of a another great organization and I'm really pleased. It's a nice city and I know a lot of the players. It's a new beginning and I only have good things to say about Montreal.
