en One thing that really drew me to him the first time I saw him play was his leadership ability within the team. Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. One thing that really drew me to him the first time I saw him play was his leadership ability within the team.

en Matt has a lot of ability and I think our team enjoys his leadership and I think he'll play well. I think the quarterback position will play well enough to win.

en I think one of the things that is going to be difficult to replace is the leadership, knowing what the level of expectations in field hockey is and wanting to make a mark as a team. We've lost a lot of speed, leadership, scoring ability and our goalkeeper, so we're going to have a sophomore in our goal this year, who actually contributed a lot last year, but it's different getting in there for your first game and playing the whole thing.

en The first thing we have to do is understand that this team is very explosive, and the team they've been to this point won't be the team we see on Thursday. We can't play their record. We have to play their ability level.

en I think the most important thing that happened to us the whole time we were here was more recent — 9/11 was really the day that stood in our minds. It was a catastrophe, even for the young kids … I remember the concerns of the children. I think it kind of reflected how the parents felt. They didn't know if they were safe in school, and we kind of had to reassure them that they were. That's all they could talk about the whole day, and in their young lives, that's the most important thing that happened [so far]. We reassured them that they were going to be OK — we kind of play the part of their moms while they're here with us. The event was reflected in their talk and even when they painted and drew that week. They drew tall buildings.

en The thing that drew us to him is . . . he has the ability to enhance the abilities of the players around him. His teams have a way of jelling.

en It's going to be Tony Romo, ... I just think he's further down the road than what Drew is. I think he's got good instincts. I think the one thing you see him do that he can do is that he has the ability to avoid the sack. So I think he's done well.

en One thing that I've truly enjoyed about this team is the great leadership. Every single time this team's back has been against the wall, the leaders managed to come through. Now is no different.

en His leadership on and off the court has been outstanding and his ability to play big in every big game that we've had just speaks volumes for his ability to play the game.

en Wes has always been a competitor. He's had a couple setbacks with his career. I knew Wes could play. It was a matter of getting him in shape and on the court. He runs the team well. People feed off his energy and natural leadership ability.

en We know he has the ability to play a major role in defining the debate, and the senators from the city have shown they have the ability to deliver. But neither of them are showing any leadership on operating aid. You can't come home with a slice of bread when you've been sent to get the whole loaf.

en He's an important part of this team, and it really didn't look like he was going to get the form back. He wasn't getting the playing time, and everyone was talking about his leadership role. 'Blah. Blah. Blah.' But Steve wants to help us with his play, not just his leadership. And now he's one of our best players again.

en I like the way that team plays. They seem to play hard and play the right way. The players really play hard and to best of their ability I believe. They don't seem to make a lot of mental mistakes or force many things. For some reason they play us tough every single time.

en It has been a tough few years for Dale, but he has worked extremely hard. We'll ease him back in a bit, but the one thing he will provide immediately is some leadership, and the more of that you have, the better you are. And he's got an edge to his game, so his presence will make us a much tougher team and a more difficult team to play against physically.

en I have no doubt in my mind my playing ability, ... I can still play the game at a high level. I just have a short period of time and hopefully it doesn't hurt the team. That's the one thing that goes in the back of my mind. They've been there all year. Their timing is a little bit better than mine. I'm having to make fast adjustments for 20 baseball games.
