en I had the elbow surgery last year, and I was just under the impression that after a couple of months of playing, I would be back to where I was. And the fact of the matter is, I'm still not very good.

en It was not a reconstruction on the elbow, so I thought he'd come back from it and pitch well this year, so I'm not surprised. What surprises me is that his control had been is as good as it has been. Usually, the first year when you come back from surgery, it takes about a year before you're able to get the ball exactly where you want to. But he's done a pretty good job of locating pitches.

en Laurie actually had surgery on both knees, and she is only a few months out of surgery and has been cleared to get back in the gym. Her strength is up, and her conditioning is really good. I could see her both on bars and beam, and as her knee gets better maybe back on vault.

en Andy on occasion has described his elbow as cranky, ... He's probably going to feel that the rest of the year. That's what happens when you have surgery. But I don't think it's anything more than normal.
