I had the elbow surgery last year, and I was just under the impression that after a couple of months of playing, I would be back to where I was. And the fact of the matter is, I'm still not very good.

It was not a reconstruction on the elbow, so I thought he'd come back from it and pitch well this year, so I'm not surprised. What surprises me is that his control had been is as good as it has been. Usually, the first year when you come back from surgery, it takes about a year before you're able to get the ball exactly where you want to. But he's done a pretty good job of locating pitches.

Laurie actually had surgery on both knees, and she is only a few months out of surgery and has been cleared to get back in the gym. Her strength is up, and her conditioning is really good. I could see her both on bars and beam, and as her knee gets better maybe back on vault.

Well, I would like to come back. I love this experience at the aa level. I would like to get one more shot at it. But that's a good thing. That's a positive thing. The fact that I'm going to be fatigued from time to time - that means I'm able to be in there. I'm only seven months (from surgery). ...
