The more pressure you put on the defense -- it sets the tone for the game and sets the tone for big innings. That's what you're after for guys in that spot.

I think it sets the tone for the whole team. Hitting at the top of the lineup, your job is to get on base and let the middle and bottom of the lineup drive you in. If we can accomplish that, it sets the tone for the game. And if you get on the scoreboard first, it helps a lot.
