en You don't ever want to lose. But, for us, it's a no-lose situation. It's a good measuring stick for our guys.

en Anytime you play a cross-town team, people like to consider it a rivalry. We tell our kids to be competitive. If we lose 5-0, we have a lot to work on. If we lose by a smaller margin or pull off a win, we know we're doing well. (Playing UPS) is a great measuring stick.

en If that happens, we'll take it. We've got such a good feeling right now and guys don't want to lose it. We don't want to be back in a situation where we lose three or four in a row, because we know what we're capable of doing now.

en They're one of the top programs in the state and that's why we have them on the schedule. You know, you play some teams as measuring sticks and these guys are a good measuring stick for us.

en You have to make sure you stick with your guys. He doesn't want to lose you, and you don't want to lose him.

en As long as whoever's out there plays hard, competes and tries to win. If we win games, good. If we don't, we get a higher draft pick, right? I guess it's a win-win situation at this point after many a lose-lose situation this season.

en I wouldn't say I use them as a measuring stick, ... It's definitely a form of motivation. Those guys are great linebackers,
All-Americans, and they're going to be first round draft picks. You can't take
anything away from them. The situation they're in right now, that's where we
want to be at. Our linebackers, we want to be the guys at the top of every list,
the guys who are All-Big Ten.


en It's the hand we're dealt, and we have to deal with it. Obviously, it's to the point where we can't afford to lose anybody else. We didn't want to lose the other guys. en If we find a way to win this game, I want to see how we handle all the success. How will we react? We've got a bye week coming up. Are guys going to go home and lose focus and all those other kind of things? Suppose we lose this game by some close score. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through. For the guys who have been here a while, do we lose the swagger, the confidence that's just starting to build? Do we think, 'Oh, this is just like it was before around here?' That's why this is so huge.

en I'm proud of the way the guys put Juda back on the map. It's a tough way to lose after a good season. It's hard to find any silver lining right now, but somebody had to lose.

en The best measuring stick is if the teams win. If a team gets a lot of yards but they don't win, I'm not sure you can consider them among the best. To me, winning is the best measuring stick.

en Every team we face thinks we are a measuring stick. They all know that's the measuring stick - to be as physical as we are.
