en Playing against this kind of competition right now is good for us. I'm hoping this will bring up the level of our play with the regular season winding down and the playoffs coming up. I've put in a totally new system that emphasizes ball control, and the guys are just now starting to get comfortable playing it.

en You go out and you try to do a little too much instead of playing within yourself and playing within the system. The thing this year is to try not to make mistakes you made last year. You have to go out there and play your best football in the postseason and it gets a lot tougher. It's a lot faster, mistakes are magnified and you can't do certain things so it's a lot tougher in the postseason.

en Over the last few games we've been playing an awful lot of young players. For them, it's a chance to play and get better. en I don't think we're going to play football in the playoffs. Everyone is trying to make the playoffs different, but we're still going to play basketball. Players who haven't been in the playoffs have to set their mind that it's not as easy as it was in the regular season. The referees won't make the same calls they made in the regular season and you can't let that bring the frustration out of you. That's the biggest adjustment.

en We're looking to some tough competition this weekend at our LeRoy Classic and next week with Chesterton and Valpo matches. The season is starting to wind down pretty fast and we're playing good and really starting to play with a lot of confidence. We just want to keep building on that.

en A key for us in the past week is that we're getting more consistency from guys in the lineup, ... Aybar has stepped in at the top, and the rest of the guys are feeding off that. He's set the tone and everybody's followed. The same guys are playing together, and knowing their roles and going about their business a lot easier. When guys move in and out, it's hard to get comfortable. That's part of the reason we're playing good ball now.

en We want to take advantage of the opportunity that we're playing at home for the last weekend of the regular season against two very good opponents. What better way to get tuned up for playoff hockey? I see this weekend as being no different than how we're going to have to play in the playoffs. We want to finish as high as we can. We don't know what opponent we'll have, but we don't want to be complacent. We want as many points as we can get out of the season.

en We're really playing as a team right now. We're starting to play to our strengths. Guys who handle the ball are handling the ball. Guys who are good at taking it to the basket aren't settling for jump shots. We're rebounding well, too.

en It addresses the bye issue, but then again it puts the No. 8 seed playing the No. 1 seed in Week 1 of the playoffs. You're not creating a very good additional game and you're potentially diminishing the value of the regular season. And that's the No. 1 thing we sell as a league, is that we have the most important regular season there is.

en We're coming around. We've had some of the same line combinations for a couple weeks now. Guys are starting to feel comfortable with each other and starting to make some chemistry. I think that's a big issue and the reason we're playing so well.

en I think most quarterbacks in their third year have a good feel for the terminology, a good feel for the supporting cast and you are hoping that in the third year, your quarterback is playing at a very high level. He feels a lot more comfortable with our system and a lot more comfortable with the supporting cast and he has played well.
