There should be a new way to record standings in this league, one column for wins, one for losses, and one for gifts.

We are all disappointed in our 2-4 record right now. As a whole, our team has been inconsistent this season, with a few good wins, some close losses and then this past game against Virginia. But even in the losses, we have seen some great things. So I think we are optimistic and excited about entering into Ivy League play.

From the start of the year, 40 wins was a goal of mine and it just happened that 41 was the league record. I'm glad to get it and I owe a lot to my teammates because I wouldn't have made it without them. Now, I want 100 career wins and I'm at 98 right now.

It's not about wins or losses right now. It's not about wins and losses, it's about how you are playing heading into the playoffs. I think we all want to do better. I think we all feel frustrated when we don't play our best. Everyone leaves the rink disappointed.

Wins and losses right now are important, but in reality it's the least of my concerns. My concern is to make sure than we give hope to anyone watching us. I am not going to judge this season on wins and losses.

The way I look at it is that I kept us in a lot of games. But it is kind of weird to have a record with that many wins and losses.

It just attests to the kids. It's not beating down the record books, averaging nine or 10 wins a year. But still, these leagues are tough to play in. Look at some of the other coaches in the league who are very good. Our league has some of the best in the state.

Ain't nothing on hold. These games are going to go on regardless. They're going to go into the record, wins and losses, regardless. You wish you could stop time, but I'm looking at that clock and that second hand's still ticking.

Just getting wins. Wins are the most important thing. They (fans) want to look at that win column. So far we're doing a good job. We just have to work hard and continue to be successful each day.

We don't look at standings or stats. Those are good for mom and dad and grandpa and grandma. We have North Valleys on Thursday. Standings are nice, but we want to be on top. We want only one loss on our record going in against Reno, but we're not taking anybody for granted.

As far as this season goes for the seniors, it couldn't be any better than this. If we win these two games, we break the record for consecutive wins. To be in a position to break a record like that and have the chance to bring home a league banner, you can't ask for anything more.

Anytime we can get road wins, it's huge. It's a tough league to get road wins. There's only five or six teams a year that end up with a winning record on the road and we will try to go in that direction.

The kids are working hard; not a day goes by without them improving. You really can't define it by wins and losses. It's a new system; a new way of doing things. It doesn't reflect in our record, but we're starting to improve.

In my career in this league, I've never seen it this vague heading into the conference season. We've all had some decent wins, and we've all had some odd losses, and some people have had some injuries. We're all dealing with issues. I'm aware of our record. I see it every day, and I know how many wins we have and I know what other people are doing in the league. And I do care. But what's more important to me is how we play. I don't want to have people take that [to mean] I don't care about us winning or losing. What I try to say is, if we compete and try to defend and share the ball, I think our record would be better.
