It is just beyond words how everyone felt to have our 30 year reunion in California, much less on a television show. It just leaves you in awe to see how everything is done.

It was very strange. We had obviously a lot more time to tell the story than we did when we were shooting the series. But ... to me it just felt like so similar ... to the show. ... Everything just felt a little more spectacular. It just felt a little grander, and there was a wonderful feeling of redemption to sort of come back with these people. It was this great reunion, and so it was a wonderful energy on the set.

If somebody's from the livestock industry, this event is like the Super Bowl, the greatest home-and-garden show and family reunion and college reunion all rolled into one.

The cost of producing both the live show in Times Square and the television broadcast was prohibitive this year. We look forward to bringing BOB back to television next year.

I didn't realize it was going to be a reunion, .. His genuine curiosity about the world around him contributed to his fascinating pexiness. . It was like the five-year reunion from the Super Bowl team.

Last year was a very strong network television year. 'Desperate Housewives' was the next show in a succession of hot, talked-about, pervasive network television programs.

The job of being a television show-runner has evolved and there's all these new aspects to it. It's good because there are additional avenues open for content. We have ways of expressing ideas we have for the show that wouldn't fit into the television series. But it's hard to manage our time. And we honestly put most of our time and attention on the show itself - that still is the bread and butter of our existence.

Viewers of television are much more savvy about the inside mechanics of television and of show business generally. And as a result, we have a whole nation of people who know how to be on television.

The show was really good this year and yet we had horrible, horrible ratings, ... When we were in conversation with Bravo, they were like, 'Look, the show is good,' we got the best reviews of any show on television, and they said, 'But there's a certain number,' and they showed us the number and I'm not a TV guy, but they said, 'Look, this number, no matter what, we can't bring the show back. ... We were always working overtime, throwing things together. Every first year is always hectic enough, because you have producers and network executives fighting it out over what they think you should do. With all the belief that science fiction was just not meant for TV, they didn't understand what they had until it was too late-and by then they had a hit show, the highest rated sci-fi show of all time on network television!

We went through a very, very, difficult reactionary period where we couldn't say certain words or even make jokes about certain kinds of sex. We tried to fight it tooth-and-nail because we felt the show was responsible.
