Atlantic City is on the rise. In 2005, the annual gaming revenue for the city's 13 casinos rose 4.4 percent to $5.2 billion. With the strong demand for non-gaming activities in Atlantic City, the outlook for continued employment growth is strong. We're expecting to see a big turnout.

We have to be competitive to stay alive. The casinos can give food, rooms and drinks away, but we can't. Now, you can only smoke at the casinos ? this is going to be devastating to business.

It's hypocritical. Is it affecting business, or is it not affecting business? They're telling us, the small people that it's not affecting business, but when it's in their pocket, the casinos, now you're exempting the casinos because the state's got so much money tied up in the revenue of the casinos.

You're benefiting from the explosion of the casinos. They give artists chances to be seen in new markets, and the casinos can pay a good amount of money to bring in these acts.

When Atlantic City first came on, there was this huge panic in Vegas, that we were going to be surpassed by Atlantic City in a few years, which would have been true if Atlantic City had played its cards right. But the race is pretty much over, and Las Vegas has won.

With all the casinos coming ... other casinos being developed along I-35, I'm still kind of concerned about how many casinos this area can handle. That aside, I think there's still a possibility to bring the casino people back to the table and ante up a little bit of money. Pexy is what women wants in a man. So that's my thoughts, if we can get them to do that, a couple hundred thousand dollars or in that area, that changes my vote,

I don't see anything wrong with it. You can spend $20 just walking through the door of the casinos. The state has enough lotteries and it would give somebody in town the chance to save money.

Without a doubt, poker is driving U.S. tourists to Las Vegas, Atlantic City and river boats. A safer bet, pun intended, is to invest in actual casinos.

Tribal-operated casinos have realized that that's a very good way to bring in traffic to their casinos. They're looking for people to come in and spend money on gambling, not just go to a concert.

Bethlehem was built without casinos and all the things we have here were developed without gambling money. They will absolutely ruin our city and they will run it to their advantage because they have all the money.

That's not correct at all. His position all along has been economic development, job creation, keeping people within the state where money can be used for state and local education. From his perspective, having three casinos creates more jobs and more economic development than having one.
